O.K. First off.....I'm old school.....How old you say....."Bazooka" Bass Tube Old.....I just love Bass !!
But where do you fit the 10" round tube in my 2017 Tacoma DCSB....You don't right ???
So I'm thinking of a sound amplifier made by "Kicker". Correct me...but I think by adding an Amplifier...all I'm going to get out of the system is what is "stock in the system" I have the basic Entune Radio with the standard speakers.

An amplifier wont do you any good without good speakers and good speakers wont do you any good without an amp. Sound system upgrades run from $500-$1500 or more depending on what you want out of it.

Check out *********.com. I’m an old alpine and kenwood guy but, ********* seems to have some nice upgrade options that are plug and play.

All right....what about a Toyota Entune Plus from a 16 Tundra. #1 Will it fit ? #2: everything else I have upgraded my SR up to.....Keyless, Cruise, Auto Start, Int. Wipers....have been almost "plug and play" This Entune plus has 14 Freekin plugs on the back of it. Let's see: Power, 4 speakers, antenna...that's 6 ?? And in the end.....Am I going to get better sound out of it than my basic Entune?

Hook up the Eddie Van Halen 5150 guitar amp and crank up the full stack speakers in the
truck bed. Hell, you got an electric outlet
back there. Put it to use and kill two birds with one stone. I bet Slash would even be
    jealous with that set up.

some around here have upgraded everything and left the Entune HU in place. it simplifies things but won't help your sound depending on what you do. sounds like you can get away with keeping it no problem tho. especially if you're actually gonna use a bass tube... even if it's not the 80's any more lol. are you really gonna use one of those? that's not old school in my book, just old.

Got ahold of a JBL with Nav. XM. HD> etc. from a 2019 Taco. Now mind you, I have a 2017 "SR" with stock entune. Unit sounds good...nav. works....Changing stations from steering wheel and manually work fine. Adjusting volume from steering wheel or manually DOES NOT work. Volume is stuck at one level. Assuming that is because I don't have the JBL amp and wiring ??? If this is true....besides the JBL amp (which is boo-coo bucks), what other amp or wiring will correct my issue ??? When I get the $$$, I am going to put in the JBL speakers and a factory JBL AMP, but in the meantime; anything?
