I would just change more often. I still wouldn't flush. But that's my opinion on it. Whatever that is worth.

NEVER flush an engine it's just asking for trouble ......and if there's sludge it's too late.

This engine doesn’t need a flush
Just change the oil every 5 k with a Toyota filter and quality oil.
It will stay very clean inside

It does not have a dip stick to check the fluid level like the good old days

May want to skip the flush then. It does nothing to help a near new engine that was serviced. Flushes are for neglected vehicles that someone decided to run for 30k miles between oil changes

Yah I’m with you. For me it’s a last resort. I’m going to do 2-3 back to back changes on very short intervals with some lower cost oil to help flush it out and then replace with new Amsoil Signature. I’ve only used OEM filters ever so will likely do the same and change with each. No sludge issues either when I had the valve covers off doing cam gears a couple years ago.

I agree, why are so many concerned so much about oil? Just about any synthetic that meets the manufactures specs. are good to use. You'd think a taste test was being done.

The "sludge" paranoia in this thread is so thick, you could cut it with a knife. It'll be OK, i promise. :sawzall:

If you have your transmission flushed you won't have to wait until 300k for the end of inexpensive maintenance.

Only advantage we saw royal purple accomplish was on a buddies engine dyno that he uses for his 358 cu. in. nascar engines was a slight increase in hp over all the oils he's tested.
