I have searched on here and oil questions are a plenty but I was wondering on oil options.
I have a chance to buy Amsoil OE for the same price of Mobil1 synthetic and was wondering if I should go that route along with WIX filters or a Toyota filter?
I realize Mobil1 is great oil and people buy it for that reason plus its cheaper than Amsoil and more readily available but if you could have either one for the same price, which would you use?

I use Amsoil but have no problem putting in Mobile 1 in my cars or trucks.

Amsoil and their filters is fine with me. Been using them for 20 years. I like the cold starts with synthetic, and the easy cold shifts. It's very noticeable, and I start my trucks in -5 to -20 often, just did so about 15 out of the last 20 mornings. Synthetic is the way to go.

I personally only use Amsoil and oem filters on any of my vehicles. I work for shop that carries Asmoil and ever since I used I immediately began using it in everything I own. Its really a great oil imo. Worth a try and see what you think..

Completely agree with this...any of the top brands will basically be similar in terms of breakdown over time and protection. If you really want to get into it, you can have a sample of your oil analyzed. It may be worthwhile if you have over 50,000 miles. Sort of a check-up for your truck.

Amsoil is good stuff. I would not hesitate to use it if it were the same price as M1.

For filters, buy OEM from Camelback. Right around $4 per filter... less than $90 will have you set for 100k, and they're better than any aftermarket filter available (including Mobil-1 and Wix).

For those intereted in Amsoil, you can sign up for free as a six month "preferred customer" and get your products at wholesale cost. A quart of OE ends up being about $4.20. You can buy oil for a year or two in that six month time period and not pay a company 6 to 7 bucks a quart.

I was very impressed with Amsoil in my Vrod. A noticeable difference in clutch and shifting plus the Harley Syn3 is junk.
I used Mobil 1 in my old truck but was looking for thoughts on Amsoil in cars/trucks.
Thanks All! I'll try it out.

Well, I didn't work at a shop but I only use Amsoil SS + OEM Filters. Amsoil OE is what I put in my dad's Lexus. M1 is pretty good, but OE was about the same price IIRC.
