    Not bustin' your chops, just curious . . . . What's the benefit of buying from you vs. going to the local bike shop (I use Amsoil motorcycle 10W-40 in my dirt bike)? Are your prices cheaper? I suppose shipping costs wouldn't make it beneficial for me, huh? Thanks!

    so im thinking about changing from dino oil to amsoil because of recomendations from friends... so if i change the amsoil filter every 5k miles can i run the 10k mile oil for 10k miles or will it "hurt" my engine?

    amsoil also say either change it 10,000 or every 6 months and i wold reach the 6 month interval before the 10k miles. would i really need to change it every 6 months or could i wait till i hit the 10k miles?

    On the oil filter.
    Amsoil filter will last 10k easy!!

    10k or 6 months.
    That just depends on who you ask. They say that oil will start to brake down fast after 6 months. Personally I wait till I hit the miles. But if it takes me longer then 8 months I will change the oil.

    I am going to change the oil at 12,000 miles or so and I have a blackstone oil sample kit so I will get it tested and report it back here. :D

    Basically I now do 10k on the oil and 5k on filters, just to be safe. I'm about to bore snake my engine next month to take a look at the internals without a breakdown and I'll post up those pictures when I get the chance. Taco has 120k on it and has had synthetic in it since 500 miles. Original owner.

    I use Amsoil on everything I own, no problems. Then again, one of my cars is an original 396 from 1967 and it was ran on a hodge podge of stuff before Amsoil and it survived fine.

    Also, Amsoil does warranty the engine from failure due to the oil or filter:

    And for the naysayers, they have paid out on warranty before, even when it was deemed it was the owners fault and not the oils:

    Basically the guy wasn't checking oil levels and sludge formed on a new engine. Amsoil still covered it.

    So far I've had nothing but positive experiences with Amsoil and as such will continue to use them.
