    Not much time today for photography, but this should give you an idea. It doesn't stick out that far and I think they did a good job considering how thick the tailgate is on the 3rd gens. The tailgate flap on the shell for the F-150 that I saw at the dealer had to jut out so far to enclose the tailgate that I think you could have used it as a table to eat your lunch.
