Same, I'd ask for a refund. If no reply in a satisfactory amount of time ... initiate the chargeback process (if you used credit).

You can probably kiss your $$$ good bye. Almost a year and nothing. I’d do the following -
Contact him and tell him after a year you just want your money back. Tell him if you don’t receive a refund or the shift knob within a week you are going to do the following
    1) contact your credit card company to get a refund.
    2) report him to various credit card companies and pay pal concerning his shady and what you consider criminal business practices.
    3) tell him you are going to blast him on every web site even remotely related to cars and trucks and automotive. All across the web you are going negative on his company. Tell him you have a dozen friends that are also going to bad mouth him all over the net every chance they get. Tell him no one will want to do business with him when you get done.
Chock this up to a learning experience and move on.

I just did a little research and found there are numerous complaints on the guy regarding the length of time he takes to get his product out. Your situation seems to be a record though. You are screwed, doubt you’ll ever see your money or shift knob.

Yeah I figure I may never see the product, but I already went on Instagram and made a comment on one of his posts saying never to order from him and explaining my situation, as well as told him I have a thread on Tacomaworld documenting the last 10 months of waiting. I figure if that doesn't get the lead out of his rectum and get him moving on the knob, I can just bombard him with more emails and comments on his Instagram.

I've told him probably 6 times now that I want a refund and he hasn't even acknowledged it. So either he IS actually working on the knob, or he is really just trying to take my money. I've been far too patient with waiting a couple months between emails. The hammer's dropping now. :smash:

I ordered a knob from him (for my car, not the Taco) and finally got it not long ago after about 9 months.

And lo and behold it was engraved incorrectly.

    Well... lesson learned.

I placed an order for something similar through Billetworkz and we'll see how that works out.

I didn't read any of these posts prior to ordering mine. Derrick always responded to my emails and was cool and he's shipping my shift knob this week that I ordered in March 2019. Looks good too from the photo he set me! stoked to get it will look sick in my truck and should make the shifts feel good as i got the goliath which is 1.6lbs.

Well I'm glad he's not screwing everyone, but how come he's making everyone else's and mine's 14 months in the making?

Just to update on this, I got my Billetworkz knob three weeks after ordering and it's fantastic. Exactly what I wanted.

I have a thread on the Mustang6G forum and people there have reported good luck with ShiftSolutionsCo as well.

    Hey @Spart ,
    Fancy meeting you here

    It’s Tank from M6G.

To the OP and others, going through Derrick and AM was a truly frustrating experience for me. About 9 months for delivery. BS emails and excuses in between. The product sent was decent enough but I went the way @Spart did. Derrick does seem like a decent guy but customer service and business management skills are not his strengths for sure.

    +1 on the Billetworkz recommendation.

Here’s the top down view of @Spart ’s custom design as executed by Billetworkz.

Austin at Billetworkz can get any powder coat color from the Prismatic Powders pallet. He can do custom color fill, too.

    Great minds think alike!

I need to get a pic of the Taco and GT350 together sometime.

I’ve had mine since July and have loved it eve since. Like I said above, while Derrick did take a while I was always chill with him and I got a really cool shift knob out of the deal. Sucks you never got yours ‍♀️
