    Hello all,
I've been a hard core jeep guy since 1989 with my 1st YJ jeep. Many jeeps since then but the last was a 12 Rubicon.
Yesterday I purchased my 1st Toyota Tocoma TRD off-road log bed. My friend who works at a Off-road shop in Denver will be doing the lift next week. Toytec 3 in with control arms toyo RT's 295 70 17. Looking forward to something total new! Lots to learn.

Nice pics and beautiful Rubicon. You'll love the new truck, not quite the same, but then you wouldn't have pulled the trigger without knowing what the differences are.

    Welcome to the Taco!

I've been jeeping a long time.
Maybe something better on road for travel. I do a lot of mountain biking and camping.
Reality, just wanted something new and a truck. Something with better road manners, mostly.

Ya, I had a TJ before. Loved the Jeep, but definitely served a different purpose.

I'd really want a TJ if I didn't need to occasionally tow and put crap in my bed. Even then I still think my first gen taco is built a little better, but man people are crazy when they think Jeeps aren't cool.

Honestly, mine was before Dodge took over, and it was a kick ass vehicle. Then the straight six was traded for a V6 and turned into a mall crawler, IMOP.

My past off-roaders have been a CJ7 V8 3speed Levi edition, to Chevy 2500 extended cab long bed, bought my 05 pre-runner new and it was such a great vehicle I'm now in a 2014 DCSB 4X4 Taco. Prob a Taco guy from now on. Well at least when it comes to 4X's. Welcome! I hope your Taco is as good to you as mine have been to me.

Love both Wranglers (I had a '92) and Tacomas, but the latter is so much more civilized on-road! Off-road the Jeep gets the nod by a small margin (un-altered), but the Wrangler is brutal on long highway trips. And as much as I hate to say it, ANY Toyota will be more reliable than ANY Jeep, and especially now with Fiat running things.

I didn't know they had log beds?!?!?!? ;)

As far as "lots to learn" ever since joining this site, I have heard nothing but how awful the turdgen Tacoma is and it's pretty much the worst truck you could purchase. Kind of weird. I've got 22K on the clock and I'm pretty happy with it.

Rubicon maybe 4Runner. I've been working on better trade offers. Best is 37,000 but not much discount on new car.
Im a guy that just needs more seat of the pants power.
If gas mileage wasn't so bad I get a dodge power wagon.
