Why not put 15k down and use the other 5k for mods ....just a idea unless you got 20k going down and some other play money going into mods.

really funny you bring that up, I am seriously debating going that route. should be enough for a stage 1 fabtech lift and wheels and tires! plus I'm trading in my 06 Acura TL so I should be able to get the payment to where I want it

 

Hells yeah! You should go that route if your finances are setup comfortably. When my little brother got back from deployment he put 15k down on a Infiniti G35! It's a sweet ride but I still give him shit for not getting a Tacoma!

Welcome home man!! enjoy the 14 hour flight lol, i redeploy back to the states in Dec. but we are doing a year rotation over here... enjoy your new truck!! I got to drive mine for 2 weeks on R&R it was awesome. What FOB were you on?

 

Yea, when i came home from iraq i traded in my grand cherokee and used that money plus a little more to have in my bank account/play with. Rest went into down payment and household stuff.

 

I'm actually still here for another couple weeks. I'm at Basrah...but in the last 5 months I've been to Bucca (Um Qasr), Gary Owen (Al Amarah), Echo (Ad Diwaniyah), Syverson (Balad) and a couple of other small shit holes. Where are you at?

 

FOB Falcon, southern Baghdad.. but they are closing us down and we are moving to Liberty next month!! Finally a real base with good and barely any mortar attacks lol

haha, ive done 2 deployments to Bucca....i thought they closed it down sometime between now and april 2009.

 

nope its still going...they havent had an IDF attack in like 2 years...The DFAC there is pretty decent too. The basketball court there is by far the best I've seen in Iraq.
On the other hand, here in Basrah...We still get IDF'ed at least twice a week! FML!!! Be gone soon though, thank god!

 

Damn, we heard it closed...o well. Yea, chow hall was nice as hell being open 24/7 n all. Been to basrah as well. Def got IDF'd everytime we were there i think too
