Do you still have it installed? Any problems with it, check engine light etc… how the truck idle after install? do you have stock tires or oversized tires with it? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Not the original complainer, but I'll chime in. Feel free to look at my build, my truck is around 5800+lbs with me in it. 275/70/17 tires, had OTT for a while but went back to stock so I have experience with both the intake spacer, OTT, with and without.

This thing works exactly as designed and did not cause me any weird idle issues, no CELs, nothing. You wouldn't know it's installed outside of the shifted torque curve, which I will admit is very welcomed out of the 2GR.

It's really not a complaint towards this product at all, but rather trying to get power out of an NA engine without opening it up (nets very little gain). I ran this for probably +/- 5k miles and it definitely does help, but it goes back to getting power out of an NA engine, if it's cheap and easy it probably won't do much. And that's the case here. It definitely moves that mid RPM torque curve lower down, closer to 3500rpms versus like 4600rpms. I would say it definitely helps, but I ended up taking mine off and don't miss it.

Original reason for uninstalling was I thought engine was making some weird tapping noise on the passenger side (ended up being a lose relay hitting the fender metal) but I took this off before I took the truck to Toyota so they couldn't claim anything was touched on my engine to deny a warranty claim. I ended up finding the noise and felt silly, but I never put the spacer back on.

That being said, if anyone wants one of these (used) for some butt dyno midrange gains, shoot me a PM I'll sell you mine at a good discount!

Same feeling towards mine fyi. If you really want to install it do it. Some people claim that it takes away from your top end power a hair.
. Just get 5.29 gears OTT tune and 35 or 37s all this NA v6 power chasing is a giant waste of money for a Tacoma it’s not a 370z.
