Hey everyone just wanted to post a discovery that I found after battling +20 on long term fuel trim the past 6 months or more. The gasket that comes with the Anderson engineering spacers are junk. The one that was supplied with the aluminum spacer swells up or in my case did causing a good vacuum leak. But I just installed it a year ago figured everything was tight even sprayed the engine with carb cleaner to find a leak and nothing. I decided to do injectors and after pulling the top half off and finding the spacer looking like the one in the picture. I found my problem and switch to felpro. Truck smooth again and LTFT is stable again just still high idle +11 to +4 WOT.

Hey Kevin, this is Shawn Anderson from AES and saw your post! Sorry you were having an issue with the gasket. The problematic gaskets were sourced from Apex brand and this is the second time they have failed me. I have switched to 100% felpro brand for the kits to put the issue to rest. if you have any more issue please feel free to reach out directly by phone.

    Thanks-Shawn

Yeah I bought a felpro set and changed it then a week later decided to do head gaskets for fun and found the gasket starting to deform already. So now I’m really question it because the plenum gasket didn’t do that. But this time I’m siliconing it on with the gasket.
