Andrew's 19 Tacoma OR and Overland Trailer Build

So here goes my build thread. Pickin it up at the dealership. Mint condition.

 

I added some predator steps on her about a week later.

 

Added some tint to the front windows. I'm on the fence. Originally I wanted to match the back tint but maybe it's too dark... not sure. It's growing on me.

 

Next I added some decals.... on both driver and passenger side. I think these looks sick.

 

I had to do it. TRD Pro grill was the next upgrade.

 

Purchased my overland trailer today. It's an M101A2 trailer. It took a while to find the one that I wanted in good shape. I had to pay a little more for it but it was totally worth it.

 

CVT tent is on the way!! Here is a picture of what will be showing up this next week!

How's that trailer coming?

 

It coming along a little slower than I originally anticipated. I found a ladder rack that I am going to use instead of going through a full fabrication. I picked up a welder and I’m going to do the work myself. I should have some more progress pics in the next week or so.

 

By the way, this ladder rack fits the M101 perfectly length and width. It was a great find!

 

Sweet! I have a utility shell I had given to me that i used on my GMC canyon a couple years ago. Bought a trailer off FB marketplace for $60 that I plan on sticking the shell on eventually.

 

Curious how this is going!? Im planning to buy a refurbished Military trailer, see pic. And build onto it.

 

That is a sweet looking trailer in the picture! I did get my trailer up and running and it's been awesome. I did take it in to have the bearings repacked and it turns out one of the breaks was locked and other was not engaged at all. Anyway, I decided to just disconnect everything. I towed it 300 miles and never had an issue so I probably will not worry about the breaks. I did weld new bars to my rack and paint it. It held up perfectly! I love that I can just hook it up and go. The trailer has been great. Here are some pictures.

 

Just an update on the awning. It's a Batwing by Rhino Rack. I feel like its a must have for camping to get out of the sun and store your stuff if it rains.

 

Quick update on the truck! I ordered a lift kit for it! I decided to go with Bilstein 5100's all around. I ordered the 2887 OME coil springs for the front. In the back I purchased an Icon 1.5" AAL. Overall it should give me a nice 2" lift. Nothing too crazy but enough to get if off the ground a bit. After I save up a few bucks I will spring for the Cooper STT Pro tires. 265/75/R16. I think they are sweet looking tires for this truck and should do well in the mud. This past week I put a clear coat on the 5100's to keep them from tarnishing so fast. Hopefully they will look nice for a while.

 

Ya, thx, super excited to start some mods on it. Great start for minor additions, no tent for us but man that's a crazy RTT! My large dog would pose a problem getting up there.. An awning and propane tank is 1st on the list. Looks great! Have fun!
