    I look how the truth finally came out. It was less about the users privacy and more about self driving cars. Toyota doesn't want to help Google with the self driving cars and giving them access to the OBD2 through the head unit have Google tons of information. I doubt they will back port it to the 2018, but one can always hope.

    Well hopefully those of us with 2016+ tacos can benefit from this. I would love to have Android Auto and not lose any vehicle setting functionality.
