Android Auto Issue

I have a 2023 TRD 4x4 Offroad model and have Android Auto on a Pixel 3A phone. Sometimes, I am able to mirror apps from the phone to the truck via a USB cable and it works as it should. Other times, I get a message that Android Auto has disconnected and that I need to unplug and reconnect. When I do that the same thing happens again repeatedly. Has anyone else experienced this and how did you fix it? Thanks.

 

Make sure you're using a high speed data cable and not a charging cable. I have the "CONMDEX Android Auto Cable" from Amazon.

Also try cleaning out the USB port on your phone. Dirt and lint can get stuck in there and interfere with the connection. A paper clip or safety pin should get any gunk out. Just be careful not to damage the pins.

 

I would also try someone else's phone, that 3A isn't getting any younger.
