I posted this in the SR thread hoping that another base model owner knew the answer. Can anyone help?

Hey guys. I just went to PA to pick my wife up 22 Outlander. We had a couple hockey games in MD this weekend and I drove it back home tonight for the first time. Pretty smooth.
I noticed her Apple Car Play/Android Auto software allowed for me to choose FM radio while still being able to use the Google Maps.

Maybe it's just my old Andriod phone, but when I'm connected to Android Auto I can't listen to FM radio and see my Andriod Auto screen / Google Maps at the same time. I have to listen to spotify or Amazon music or whatever is on my phone. Does anyone know how to listen to FM while still having Googler Maps active on the display?

That's because you're in Bluetooth mode on your radio. Change it to FM.

So for 3 years I haven't used the MAP button. After you said this it rang a bell. I can listen to FM and use the MAP button to bring up my ANDROID AUTO Google maps. I didn't realize the way I've been doing it for 3 years has been via bluetooth. Thanks

Guess since I tried the MAPS button on occasions when my phone wasn't connected it said this feature is not available. I dont have navigation so I figured on my base model that button was dead.
