Any suggestions? I'm looking for a capacitive touchscreen that will work well (wirelessly) with my Samsung Note10+.

    - Google Maps, Spotify, YouTube, Netflix, wireless screen mirroring
    - Retain steering wheel controls
    - Reverse camera

    Preferred but not necessary:
    - Built-in amp & DSP
    - Picture-in-picture
    - Aux input on the face
    - SD input on the face

Pioneer 4400. It's now wireless too - no cable needed for AA.

I have the Pioneer MVH-2300NEX and really like it. Not one of the latest/greatest models, so you do have to connect your phone to it via USB. However, all the functionality is there.

Keep in mind, to retain your steering wheel controls, rear camera, etc., that there's a several harnesses and extra wiring that you will need to do. Make sure you budget probably an addition $150 or so just for the extra pieces. If you're not installing yourself, then tack on installation fees on top of that. You can do it yourself like I did, but it's a bit of a pain in the butt, and not a simple plug-and-play.

I have the Pioneer avh2440nex.... It requires usb cord, i don't know if it is my phone, but there is a bit of lag..... Wonder if the lag would be worse if wireless, i am thinking it would be... i don mind the cord because it charges the phone....

I also agree with what @Ren mentions about budgeting for extra components and not being a simple plug n play.... Also do yourself a favor and do the parking brake bypass while you're in there if it applies to the unit you purchase....

I have an Alpine ILX-W650. It's a pretty nice head unit for the price. One of my favorite things about it is it's Double-Din, but it's only about half the depth of a normal HU, and they sell a "450w" amp that basically piggybacks onto the back of the headunit for like $200.

    https://www.alpine-usa.com/product/ilxw650_kta450_power-duo_package

That being said, I do wish I looked a little more at the full android head-units. The stink of offbrand chinesium bothers me a little though. Not sure I'd trust it, personally.

edit - nvm, missed the part about screen mirroring. Sounds like you'd be better off with one of the android headunits.

If you're wanting true screen mirroring (where your head unit looks just like your phone screen), be cautious:

    1) Some of those apps that you mentioned (Netflix, youtube) are not allowed as far as I know. If fact, Google Auto blocks them for safety reasons. I would imagine that you would have to go to a knock-off brand to get that functionality, but it would have to work outside of Google Auto.

    2) I actually tried one of the knock-off brands before my pioneer, because it promised to mirror my phone screen. I found that I couldn't use google auto with it, and that it had to be connected to wifi to work. That means that you have to set up your phone as a wireless hotspot, which my phone didn't allow. Since it had to be connected to a wifi, the stereo was pretty much useless.

My suggestion is to stick with a reputable brand that supports Android Auto, and go with the functionality it provides. Working around those limitations will probably result in more headaches than it's worth.

Wireless AA is very rare. Make sure you check into it carefully as most radios don't support it. You are limited as far as what apps you can use with AA. YouTube and Netflix are not supported. You won't get picture in picture either. Please post to the thread if you do find a good wireless unit. I use a Sony XAV-100 (base model AA with a wired connection). It gets pretty flaky at times, but has been much better with the newest version of AA. I understand most if not all brands suffer from the same issues I do. Awesome, thank you. Do you have a reverse camera hooked up to it?
