Looking to see which apps people have been using with an OBDII reader and that work well. No current issues with the truck, more informational only.

Torque Lite allow you to monitor few data points which is cool but found it a bit much to monitor while driving! you can get alot more points with the Torque Pro app i think its 5$. they both check for codes and clear them i checked my tacoma and nothing pulled up checked my benz and few came up that i already new about.
now the carista app pulled up a code on my tacoma that did not show up on the Torque Lite but will not give you the full code without paying. also carista allow to make modification to bunch of stuff you can download it connect and check all you can do but if you decide to make a change you have to pay a monthly fee.

that's the only issue I have with carista, is the fee's.

    $40 a year or $10 for a 1 week pass.

for the torque app and getting a $25 odb2 dongle with the techstream it still cost me less than 1yr sub to carista and I can use it longer than 1 yr after I use it.

I paid like $15 for a good BT dongle and $25 for the adapter for techstream like 3 yrs ago. I've used it on our 2012 Tacoma, 2014 4runner, 2016 Tacoma, 2018 tundra.

that's 4yrs of use for a one time fee of roughly $40
