Android Tablet install in a Jeep Wrangler

Check out this thread where someone installs a Nook android tablet to control his stereo in his Jeep Wrangler. Not sure how easy this would be, or something like it, in the Tacoma.

I don't like the mounting at all sticking that far out looks bad. There was a guy that posted a video series of him putting an IPad into a Tacoma and it came out way better. It was a lot more work but the end result was worth it. I will try to find the videos.

with temps in your truck getting 130 degrees plus the screen will turn to crap. Also direct sunlight on the screen with turn it to crap also. I dont think you want to be taking that in and out of your truck all the time. Good idea i will give him credit.

 

I leave both my iPhone and iPad in my truck every day at work, in direct sunlight. It doesn't hurt them, the worst thing I've seen is when you wake the devices up, either of them, they display a message something like "your iPhone / iPad is too hot! Let it cool down before use.

 

that would be so awesome if a company made something like that you could buy and install easily like a normal radio for motorola xoom

 

iPad install is tight! want that haha

 

i can't imagine what the labor charges for that ipad setup would be. but that's about the slickest setup i've seen so far in a vehicle.
