Why do you want to switch? I started with an iPhone back when they were first introduced, then switched to Android, and then switched back to iPhone. The biggest reason I left the Android world was I'd purchased a bunch of apps for the iPhone and I didn't want to buy them again for the different platform. My advice to users is pick an ecosystem and stay there. The fanboys will argue differently, but there isn't enough difference between them for the "normal" user to bother with.

Thanks - my job may require me to switch - or I just keep my android and carry around 2 phones, which I dont really want to do.
Not really wanting an iphone but it beats carting around 2 phones.

I've always had Androids, but recently switched over to the dark side (iPhone). Never been a big fan of them but I broke my S9 and got an iPhone really cheap. To me they are much more simple than Androids. Sometimes I found my droids to be cumbersome to navigate and stuff. They both have Pro's and Con's. I wouldn't say I regret getting an iPhone, but I still like droids better. But then again, that's all I've ever had till now. Only thing I regret was getting a Galaxy watch right before I had to switch - so now I need to get an apple watch if I end up keeping this iPhone. Tomato vs. Tomatoe.

Benefits - I have two phones anyway, it's nice to have one charger setup for both. Etc etc. One ecosystem for personal and work use.

What I miss - Widgets. Mint budgets, weather, etc was really nice to have on my home screens. I miss that. Shortcuts to a google drive file I use all the time, etc etc. Widgets and the home screen/apps setups, much prefer android.

Same cable to charge at work, at home, in the truck. I have a '20 Tacoma so I have carplay/adroid. Have to have two phones, this one is the upgrade through the work plan so I got it "free" anyway, nice to be standardized on the same charging system though. (even though I still have a USB mini for my headphones...)

It's okay if you're just mostly using G services. You'll miss the better notification system of android and the ability to do things like use VPN based ad filters, though.

Oh and yeah, you'll miss USB-C for everything. Even our ipad Pro uses USB-C... so going back to lightning kinda sucks.

    And G assistant > Siri.

oh the infamous work phone. I provide my team with unlimited talk, text and data iPhones, but some of them still choose to carry two phones. (some even carry 2 iPhones :der:) There are some strings attached, no porn, violence, etc. Personally not having to buy or pay for a phone is a perk I enjoy. Once you get used to a new platform it doesn't seem like that big a deal. I'm fluent in Android, iPhone, Mac and PC. Everyone of them has things I like and don't like, but looking back from the top of the learning curve they really don't seem that different.

Honestly, if you don't use the advanced features of Andriod OS (with its open-source system); iPhone seems to be better. I always swap back and forth with the two and currently own an iPhone. I will most likely go to an iPhone again due to the fact that I have 2 iPads and an apple watch. Back then, I would have strictly gone android, as it had more features and connectivity, but not anymore. It's almost a wash and just turned into a cult-like following. On top of that, Google connectivity pretty much bridges the gap.

I miss the app drawer, customization, and expandable memory. I do enjoy the major features of iOS but nothing compared to how useful the note 9 was for me.

It’s a wash. I can use and be happy with either. Currently back on iPhone. I’ll never spend a grand on a phone again, so now I just go for whatever is cheaper between Samsung and Apple. My current iPhone was only $500-$600 brand new. I’d rather pocket the cash. I will say this though.... I feel that Apple makes a more “quality” product. In my experience, they last longer with less issues to boot.

I think that iPhones are much better at texting/calling. imessage and facetime are awesome. They work better as phones. Most people have iPhones and love imessage.
Androids are much better at multitasking and have a lot of options for customization and tweaking.
It mainly comes down to what type of phone the rest of your family or co-workers have. It is a mess trying to text images and videos between iphones and androids.
But like others have said, they are more similar than they are different.
