annoying click when opening the driver's door... now passenger door also

Hey All, I have a very annoying click when i open the driver's door, i have sprayed the door stop rod? with a shot of wd-40 and then a couple of months later i hit it with some silicone spray lube... this does not help. anyone else have this issue and how should i go about fixing it. am i even close in where i'm looking for the noise, could it be a door hinge? Thanks.

mine does the same. its the that plastic rod thingy at the hinge on mine making the noise. Needs some of that white greasy goop that won't run off with age/heat/gravity. WD40 will only be a temp fix. you need something with substance.

If its a metal sounding click, then you could have some rust or crud in the hinges. PB blaster would be good for the hinges.

 

Thanks, i will pull the door stop rod off and lube it with some white lithium grease.
