I think the issue with these noises are wires tapping against the plastic. The adhesive they use seems to not stick very well in cold weather. However, once it warms up, the noise disappears. This has been my experience thus far since owning my 3rd gen and I've had a few places now where this has been the case.

I had the same issue. After 20,00 miles of pulling my hair out if figured out it is the little plastic shelf in the glove box. Pull it out and see if that fixes the issue. If it does put something over the mating surfaces like felt or something. Problem solved!

    LMFAO BRO!

Excellent little read here, love the passage mydude. Before my toothpick found its new home yesterday it was painted black and baptized as the newest addition to my truck, he should be so lucky to have this new home vs in some random mouth digging out left over fajitas. I put it in horizontally too, this way it wouldn't stick up to much. BroLean the F outta that toothpick man. Godspeed.

So did it work!? Currently marinating a tooth pick in derp! If I get the install right I might just post a how-to video as well. :fingerscrossed:

10,000 service done. I told them about the noise and of course they could not replicate. He said the tech took the plastic from the a pillar off and put it back on but that did nothing

I've had a noise inside the dash on the drivers side for a while now. Always worse in cold weather. Just had it at the dealer today to replace a broken speaker cover and missing clip or some sort fugged up when they installed my Acc rear view mirror. Rattle still there. Going back in before the weekend so the can tear the dash open. Mechanic took a ride with me today to verify the problem. Sounds like a wire flopping around on plastic. Only occurs on rougher roads.

Derp your toothpicks bro and stick'em in there between the A pillar passenger side and the speaker cover. OR do what I did yesterday and give the handle a good yank.... problem solved.

Hey guys, I also had this noise and have read where some people pushed forward towards the front of the truck on the pillar until a slight "snap" is heard and then the sound quit. I tried this on mine, heard the snap and haven't had the rattle since. Maybe try and see? You then can maybe remove the toothpicks! Rattles drive me crazy too! Could be from something not being snapped in place correctly at the factory I guess.

Yeah thats what I did just a good yank and no more rattle... someone took the dash apart in another thread and found the issue. It's actually some felt that moves out of place causing plastic on the A pillar to contact the speaker cover which causes the rattle. I love my truck but I gotta tell ya that noise was real annoying.

Yup, this is exactly what I did. Once the a pillar snapped into place, no more annoying rattle.

Tried this on mine, it did not seem to "snap" into place or make any difference, i put a little piece of one sided velcro in there though, and the noise is gone.

My noise was fixed on Friday. Mechanic tore into the dash and spent over 2 hours finding it. All is quiet now. :)

Hey OP, for what it's worth. I had the same noise for months, here in the high desert it gets cold in the winter and I had that noise that was driving me crazy. Around here roads aren't that great either, anyway, all I had to do was push and the A frame right above the dash and I felt it "click" or "snap" into place. I didn't have to put much pressure on it at all. It was actually pretty easy. No sound or rattle ever since. It might be worth a try. Better than tape or toothpicks. Hope this helps.

Ive had this in the drivers side and passenger side. After 5 trips back to the dealer the drivers side is fixed but still a problem on the passenger side. Soo frustrating. The dash has been out at least twice at the dealer....
