Been rolling our own for longer than a month now.

Savings are incredible. A bag of tobacco costs $8.00. A box of tubes (250) costs $3.00. Said bag will last both my wife and I at least a week, usually a day or so more than a week.

Costing my wife and I...less than $15 a week to smoke versus, at least $80 buying packs of name brand.

There was an initial investment of the actual cigarette machine, runs about $40-50 depeding on where you can find it.

Do have to "roll your own" so time is needed for that. Mostly slamming them out in the evening after kids have gone to bed and we're BSing for the evening anyway.

Everyone knows the dangers of smoking. If they still light up so be it. I don't understand how smoking is viewed in the media, washington,etc.. as the biggest detriment to man but yet alcohol is accepted everywhere you go. Nascar won't allow tobbaco sponsors anymore but beer, whiskey etc..is just fine with them.

I went way off the top..pack a day at $8 a pack in MA. I started when they were $1.50 a pack 23 years ago and always said I'll quit if they hit $4 a pack.

Full rebuild short of machine work, mean green motherfucker! Lime green block, hand-polished valve cover, and stickers! Too broke for real mods right now. Stonewall is my baby, but he's also a work truck.
Might try to quit for New Years, not sure. I don't personally want to do it, and that's what's making the decision hard. I just want to quit so maybe my Mom will. I've cut down considerably the past few months, trying t quit- I went from a pack a day to a pack every three or four days. Getting better.

You're young and the sooner you quit, the better it will be for your body long term. Quitting for your mom is admirable and I'm sure she would appreciate it. In the end though, if you're going to quit, do it for you.

    Good luck!

I quit cold turkey almost 8 weeks ago.
However, when I did smoke, math tells me I spent about $930 ish a year.
I have a lot more money to spend on guns, ammo, and truck parts now. :)

I quit after 19 years of smoking. I used the nicorette gum,but quit using it after about a month due the side affects ( hair falling out, teeth falling out etc...). < luckily none of which happened to me. So now it's been 37 days nicotine free. It feels great. I can breath again. My cravings have almost become non existent, but when I do crave one they are pretty brutal, but I deal with it and they seem to pass fairly quick. I'm know I'm not out of the woods yet and may take a while to get there but so far this is the best attempt to date. Yearly cost for me here in ky, roughly 2k a year

Just bought one of these bad boys. I had the blu's before, just werent cutting it. These definitely curb the cravin, best part is the battery lasts forever. Immediately I went to only smoking a cig occasionally to curb the craving. Usually one every day or two at most. Cigs taste like crap after this sweet taste.

4 year pack a day smoker...Quit, took me 2 weeks and I was completely off.

Thanks to Joyetech and the abundance of vape shops in SoCal, down to 12mg of nicotine (half the amount of a cigarette). No harmful carcinogens, just flavor, vegetable oil, and nicotine. Organic juice only, developed locally using locally grown fruits.

Joyetech eVic (electronic vapor intelligence cigarette), running at 7.0 watts (4.6 volts) with Cirrus long glass tank and 3.0ohms resistance cartomizer. I get about 500-600 puffs in per day, using about 1 tank of juice per day, and the battery lasts me about 3 days.

If you factor in the decrease in your life expectancy which leads to decreased lifetime income, and the increased cost of healthcare when you are sick for the final years of your life, the cost of smoking is huge!!

I used to smoke 2 packs a day and I quit cold turkey 22 years ago. Smokes were around $5 a pack back then so I was spending $3650/year but that would be closer to $7500 now!
