    We take that dirt road for a few miles and then we cut deeper into the desert. We go under the train tracks near the swamp.

    I doubt they removed the gravel but from what I remember they put in gravel so some tractors could get through. If we're lucky, maybe they removed the gravel when they were done.

    The weather is going to be in the upper 80's which will be nice and mid-low 60's at night. I just hope it's not as windy as the last run. I still need to fix my tent this week. I still have broken poles.

    Cool! I just talked to my uncle and hes gonna let me use his handheld GPS that we can input coordinates in! Yeah i hope its not to windy at all. we are sleeping in the back of our truck while the kids utilize the tents.:D I cut two thick pieces of memory foam to fit the bed of the truck so we will be comfortable.

    Actually, Greg just found out his buddy is letting him use his $1500.oo Gps unit for this trip. He will be getting it tomorrow and we can start inputing the coordinates asap! Shoot me the coordinates from harvard rd to afton canyon to mojave rd and we will start inputing them tomorrow sometime!:D

    Make sure you guys bring a shovel in case we need to dig you out, which has happened in the past.

    Also, feel free to bring beer to drink at camp but we can't tolerate drinking and driving on the trails. There may be law enforcement officers on this trip and my kids and possibly other kids will be on this trip so let's keep it legal and comfortable for everyone. Leave the weed at home!
