also want to give a big thanks to James for sharing his meat... I mean, bringing steak.

if you remember I was raised on my families own raised cows, and for the past 8 years we have eaten store meat.
I nearly fed my store bought steak to the dog tonight.

That steak was delicious. Thanks James! And thanks to Mike for the "smore bombs." And James again for the bacon.

You are all welcome for the steak (and bacon!) Sorry would could not char any spuds. Maybe I will par bake some next time. Was a great time! The pucker factor was great in some spots. Picked up the sliders yesterday, and DAMN they are big and beefy! Now to paint and get welded on. No tree nudges next time.

Thanks James! That's a pretty good deal on that CBI!

I doubt I can scrounge up the funds right now, but we'll see

Excited for the next outing when you have your sliders and maybe I will have a rear bumper :D

Don't forget you need to find a way to cut the bedsides. SPSCC has Saturday welding classes at an amazing rate, so we could load up on projects and use some really pro gear. The plasma torch there gets abused like mad, fyi, so sometimes it's broken

The intro class was *okay*, it's a bit artsy fartsy. You really just learn how to turn things on and then are set free to make some ugly welds. The big thing you are really paying for is access to machines that you can't easily get your hands on.
There might be some better classes in Chehalis/Centralia, or there's a really good one I heard about in Gig Harbor. The Gig Harbor one is taught by a guy who's more into practical application, and you get to test your welds by having a machine try to rip it apart. The stuff I did looked OK, but I still have no idea how good of a welder I am at all. Welding sliders to a frame sounds really easy, and I've made a 'cup' that was watertight, but I couldn't say if what I did was amateur or not.

Is it wrong that I've left my Taco in the garage because I'm too lazy to go clean it and drove the Civic to work this week instead?

Man she is covered in dust...inside and out.

    And remember, James...
