If we bring a canopy, which I might have access to one. Will they be ok being left at camp while we're out? Or should they be packed up and hauled around?

I'd bet they would be fine. No one's made off with any of the stuff we've brought in the past, and I haven't seen any evidence of tweakers in TSF to worry about the dispersed spots either.

If I had time, I would run down to Salem and get a few my dad has, but I don't. And I am not sure he would let just anyone come pick them up from him.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
I have a 10x10 also. Takes just a minute to put up/take down. Just have to see how the next week goes. Zero grip in my right hand so far. Its only been a day but...patience.

Reminder, go get your offroad permits this weekend if possible!
If you intend to bring a quad, motorcycle, etc., you need to take the online safety quiz and get your license! I don't think anyone mentioned bringing alternative rides, but be aware the quiz can eat a chunk of time!

OK, so I totally spaced out on this part that I mentioned earlier:

As we've mentioned, there's been no guff over how many we've stuffed into site 16 as long as we aren't blocking anything, so we either need to clarify with Forest Dept. if that's being enforced, we just go for it, we take over 5 spots, or we do one of the dispersed areas.

Also, I posted the areas of interest in the 2nd post down on the first page, for easy access.

Do we want to meet at camp (16) and then roll out to squander the woods?

Left VM with Jahmaal to explore this issue, still unsure of camping setup as a result.

Updated first post with estimated arrival times.

Part 1 of Friday is just capturing camping and spreading the word of where to be. We may go venture out on brief trips in the middle of the day, but be back at camp by 6 to make sure later arrivals are in the right spot.
I will try to craft up some sort of rudimentary sign to bring with me. I have some 2x4s, plywood, and spraypaint that I will try crafting into a sign for camp (wow, 6 years to get a sign made?)

NOTE: I haven't heard of anyone requiring the caravan meetup this year, so we will not being doing a caravan. I'm assuming everyone can get to the coordinates posted. Before you get into the boonies and lose signal, it's up to you to check this thread and verify the camping location. I suggest either stopping in Banks or Forest Grove, depending on your direction.

I've got 2 small bottles of propane I'm bringing. One for small heater and one for whatever else we may need.

Do we need anything else there?

I was thinking of doing a pulled pork Thursday eve and bringing it for Friday dinner also. Will just need to reheat... thoughts?

Well, I talked my son out of going to school on Friday. He was convinced he needed to go the last day so we will be back on schedule to arrive early afternoon on Friday.

I also have a couple small bottles of propane. I'll have one for my lantern and an extra. I'll bring some firewood as well. I'm down with pulled pork and I can bring BBQ sauce, rolls, etc. I'll be bringing my 10 X 10 canopy as well.

Can anyone else suggest stuff we might need aside from regular off roading/camping shit?

I will also have some wood. I hacked down a butterfly bush. Totally junk wood, but it's something we don't have to gather. Also have some 2x4s and a bit of small plywood.

    sun block maybe
    bug spray
Garbage bags, something to eat on, clean up stuff.
    any utensils you may need
    water
Some small bills for the camp spot if we are in Brown's
    maybe a hatchet/axe
    stove to cook on
If you are cooking on the fire, think about aluminum foil, a disposable grate, whatever.
one year I forgot ice

I'm good to go on that stuff. I hate when I forget simple shit like ice! It's one of those things that is so glaringly obvious that it's easy to forget... Lol

I'll probably grab one bag before leaving, then grab some more ice before coming into the area. It is only supposed to be in the 60's... so it shouldn't melt TOO fast. Maybe make another run for ice friday night, or have one of the late arrivers bring a few bags in.
