Went with @stikle scouting the camp sites today, some interesting finds.

45.614448,-123.355289 is a dispersed spot that we sometimes stay at within visual range of the stop sign intersection just before Brown's Camp (we were there last year). That spot is no more - I didn't see the full details, but the entrance is now stacked up with downed branches and trees, and I'm pretty sure it's going to stay that way for good.

There's a fairly 'formal' set of camp sites near Lyda, they were all full but would provide the space we need easily. Close to the access road, so privacy is a bit low (from the access road you can look down into camp). However, the sites back up against the Wilson River, which is nice.

We have about 3 workable locations, all more toward Lyda area as well, and a gun range not too far off.
I'm going to keep the directions/coordinates out of the general forum so the sites don't get sniped, but I'll share with the group via PM once we make determinations on what will hopefully work best - probably a primary spot (Brown's spot 16) and a backup plan or two. Spot 16 is only intended to fit so many vehicles, and it's all first come first serve, while the other sites are 20+ minutes south. Sites to the south would be full primitive, and I haven't figured out the ruling on if you can do dispersed camping fires (please help if you know). So, different options depending on choices.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.

I just happened to look over as we were leaving Brown's. The entire driveway into that spot is blocked off with boulders now, and it kind of looked like a brush dump.

Lotta people in Lyda Camp proper, this other spot isn't too far away. If we can get it while it's open, then that would work. And, river.

FYI- This is posted at Brown's so you WA peeps don't need to spend extra money if you already have a permit:

My permit is good until July this year... which makes me happy. 3 trips out of one pass.

I'm probably not going to be able to attend, but I'm going to attempt to get the extra time off. :(

If possible, I would like to meet up with the group just for the day, since I'm not prepared to camp yet...unless another run comes up sooner.

Unfortunately we are maxed on rigs for this event unless you are interested in riding along with someone. If @RogueTRD backs out, @pipeboiztaco is the next in line from the chronology of who's waiting.

Don't worry if you miss this, there are bound to be more trips over there this year. Keep your eye on the PNW expedition thread or the Oregon BS thread.

I won't be selling my truck until the fall... But I need to get a ton of stuff done here now before we go to sell the end of summer.
