I'm going to spend Fri night at my bro's place in Corvallis so I can visit. I don't know if Motive was going to hitch a ride or drive the rental to the meet up spot, so he might be a candidate for caravan.

Carl's Jr looks like a decent spot, right off the freeway and impossible to miss.

Bah I'm really bad with all these extra posts, but I don't get all my thoughts together at once :p

Did you have a time in mind? I usually associate 9am as the official "wheelin meeting time", 9:30 as official hit the road to the staging area. This gives a good amount of trail daylight.

So Chickenmunga, the link for Carls junior comes up with all of them in the area.

Are we meeting at the CJ in Cottage Grove, or one here in the PDX area to caravan?

Mike, since your going to be in Corvallis we can meet up when you take off to mob down. And if we time it right we could meet the others up on the way. oh yea im in haha add to list.

EDIT: INFO i pulled incase others missed it.

An open diff'd rig can do 90+% of the stuff up there, a single locker reccomended but NOT necessary. Stock toyota 4X truck and decent tires (even street tires) and your golden!

Also, anyone get in contact with anyone from that area? Im striking out on guides but waiting for another friend to get back to me.

I updated the link, it should work now. Google changed the way they do links so it's much more of a PITA, but I think I pulled it off.
We are meeting at Carl's in Cottage Grove. The PDX caravan hasn't made any formal arrangements, you will want to get in touch with Joe and Zach.

i think it would get confusing with too many pre-meetup meetup locations. I'm letting the other PDX folks organize how they want to get down.

I don't mind meeting you and doing our own little caravan, but I think it would be faster just to get to Cottage Grove. Hit me a PM if you like, though.

    got it.

JoeTacoma is trying but I haven't heard any update. Thanks for the trail assessment and the extra help

I'm going to call them today and see what they say. Anyone leaving from the Beaverton want to caravan? It'll be a lonely drive for me :sadviolin:

EDIT: I called and got transferred to another person but didn't get through. I emailed them letting them know we want to make a trip to Noonday trail on the 19th and wanted to know if there are other trails we can go. Also asked if there is a self guided pamphlet tour we can pick up. Will keep you guys updated.

Oh yeah also asked for better directions to the trail head because the one provided on the link is kind of confusing to me and don't want to get lost.

I have one other non TW member that's going to go with me too. Also a 2010 d-cab 4x4 trd off-road.

Off hand do you guys know if we need to get a permit for this run? I'm a bit confused on how Oregon does this as AZ plated is good to go.

    Got it.

Got it in the sticky, but here's quick rundown:
    -Need permit
    -permit is about $10
-permit can be obtained from one of the places listed on this site
    -it's good for 2 years
-permit needs to be visible, preferably from the rear. I put mine on the rear glass so it's easy to get back off when it expires.

I'm pretty sure you would need it for these trails because it's forestry land I think.
