there shouldn't be much traffic, but you may still have to leave a bit early...

the Valero is at 13153 Main Street, Hesperia, CA

google map it from your starting address to see what it says for distance and travel time...

i will be leaving from Glendale at 5am...

hoping to get there early enough to catch some breakfast at Dennys next door to Valero...

    Mike-

Are you caravaning with James and Ed to Hesperia? What time are you guys rolling through Fontana? I'd like to try and meet up with you guys even if it's on the freeway.

I'm going to full up in Barstow since it will be our last fill up before stateline. Hesperia to Barstow is about 40 miles and we'll need that extra gas.

depends if they want to catch breakfast at Dennys...

i estimate i should be passing Sierra exit around 6am...

i will likely top off by the station McD on Main Street in Barstow... gas should be cheaper there than by the outlets...

    that reminds me...

can someone go to Lowes or Home Depot and pick up some 9/16" x 4.5" shoulder bolts and matching nylock nuts?

    grade 8

need to stock those just in case anyone has any suspension issues...

    No uniballs for me.

I'd bring my video camera but I can't find the charger.

    I've lost track
Just got back from the Mojave road yesterday and it was AWESOME! You guys are going to have a blast. The water crossing is almost dry...they graded the trail and put gravel across the river. The part to worry about (especially if 2wd) is the "Dry" lake bed. It is about 6 inches of wet clay all the way across. Besides that its a lot of sandy wash like trails. Are you guys stopping at all? like at the Lava tubes, Megaphone, or Mines?

That sucks that the water crossing is dry. That sucks about the wet lake bed. Hopefully it will be dried out with the warmer weather this week. I think most of us are 2wd. Is the lake bed soft and wet or packed and wet?
