We only had one 4x4 last year and he was constantly working. Will, is Andy(if i remember his name correctly) coming again this year? I think we all owe him a drink!

You'll be fine. Just take it slow. And have a race radio. There were times I was like 5 miles behind everybody, but being able to communicate made it no big deal.

Youll do fine! just think about taking you spare tire out from underneath your bed and also maybe getting another spare just incase. your spare tire under your bed is subject to damage offroading so best strap it down in the bed of the truck. I was schooled on that last trip.

I would keep it on the truck. I had mine off last week and that's when I blew out a tire

I did a search through several different hotel websites. I was able to book the Avi Hotel for $27 Thursday night using Expedia. Hotels.com also has the same offer. I booked a room with two queen beds. I'll need one bed since I'll have my boys with me. It's not likely that my wife will come but if she does I'll just keep the entire room.

I suggest you guys book a room right now because that's Cinco de Mayo weekend and the rooms might fill up quickly as we get closer.

Walmart is right on the other side of the river so we'll be able to stock up on food in the morning. Gas is also relatively cheaper in Bullhead city so we'll be able to gas up over there too. For those who arrive early enough on Thursday we can head into town for dinner, drinks and gambling.

Let me know when you book a room so we can keep tabs. Unless you want your own room there's no point everyone booking individual rooms.

    RJ-

This is the area where Chris (SilverTaco) got stuck except he was deeper than James. I don't have a pic of Chris' truck. Chris' bed sitting on mud and the mud was above his front axle area. The mud was like quicksand. There were areas that looked like you could walk across and when you stepped on it, your feet started to sink. James wasn't able to walk away from his truck because he was surrounded with mud. Chris' wife just sat in the truck for two hours. Chris was stuck first and James went to rescue him and he got stuck. We were there for almost two hours trying to get them out, using two trucks and Chris's truck wouldn't budge an inch. He was completely sucked in. Finally a Ford, Chevy and 4Runner in a group came driving by and helped. The 4x4, 4runner was not able to pull Chris out. After pulling out James, the Chevy yanked Chris out. I think we would have eventually gotten Chris out but we probably would've been there well into the evening. Imagine trying to remove your truck out of quicksand?!

This is why we stress minimal recovery gear. Tow straps, shovels, jacks and anything else you can think of. You never know what is going to happen out there and we might need more than one tow strap or shovel. The more the merrier.

I hate mud too, especially if it's super wet, watery mud. It's nothing but bad news. I avoid it if possible.

This is the mud that came off my truck from our last Mojave run. This was from going across Soda dry lake. All of the other trucks had the same amount of mud. The only good think was it wasn't wet mud but it was thick. It took me over an hour to remove all the mud with my pressure washer. I had traces of mud up and down my street for two weeks.

Thanks RJ! Hopefully it will look a little sicker when I install Mike's rear tire carrier.

If you have the room, I can't recommend a full-size shovel enough.
