Women in Scottsdale only pay attention to you if you own an entry level luxury sedan. Guess I gotta find a different place to go.

Had a guy come up to me in a parking lot the other day when I was getting out of the truk, and ask me how I liked it.
Then he proceeded to school me on how I better have gotten the extended warranty, or should get one immediately if I hadn't, because the truck was a total POS.
Pointed at his 4Runner and said he was going to trade it in for the Tacoma, but everyone at the dealer told him not to because the truck had so many problems, and how happy he was that he didn't go thru with it.
Then He went on about how superior the 4Runner was because it was built in Japan and the Tacoma wasn't blah blah.
After almost 10 min of his rambling bullshit, I said omg thank you so much for all of your knowledge and wisdom, I'm going straight to the dealer to get rid of it right now.

    I've had a few random compliments. I think it's strange, because it's just a pickup truck! :)

Yea, thanks but no thanks... :rofl:Can't do jack in one of those!! I support finding another place to go if that's the case, those gals are keepers anyway. (Well, what my impression of what a keeper would be if I were a dude...) :D

Absolutely! They've got good taste! A little compliment under the windshield like that is awesome. I did that to someone with a plethora of fantastic, entertaining bumper stickers. Something that makes you smile when someone in the universe appreciates what you enjoy.

That's just shitty... They need to learn some tact, clearly they weren't properly socialized as a pup. There are ways to discuss concerns with strangers that don't involve absolute condescending behavior. People these days... :annoyed:

Yea, but there are trucks and then there are *Trucks.* I've wanted a truck since I knew I'd be driving one day. When I was old enough to appreciate the difference between trucks, the Tacoma was what I wanted from the get-go. Then I drove my ex's and was sold. Took me a little while but I got it. I mean sure, it's a cab and bed and wheels... but I tend to appreciate the ability of the Taco. Anything less would get me stuck and anything more would be overkill.

Yep! Tacomas have a bit of a cult following. It's just a cool truck to have. I'm sure my wife is sick of me pointing at all the nice Tacomas I see.

I found it funny around here that I get more comments on the color than anything. All positive too. More even than the NSX I sold before getting the Taco.

Not going to lie, I don't have those impressive mods that make my truck stand out from most. I think it's more the fact it's a Tacoma and the following it gets. Mine was the only Tacoma at that trail at that time and the two gals were white young things that just took their adoration to a whole new level of creepy.

I did that for a while before and after gettin mine, but there are so many around that every other word out of my mouth was Taco and I was getting interesting remarks from people... "Wow, you get just as excited about Tacos as I do..." these people being dudes, of course.:rofl:

Though yesterday was kinda fun teaching my friend's 8yr old the differences between the generations and testing him. He was all about it and the only one who insisted on riding with me, running to grab his booster seat and Mickey Mouse. The others were intimidated. Haha So precious.

Fuck that I just bought my taco! Guess I gotta find a country bar that doesn't play hip hop. Because that's all I hear at whiskey row!

Yeah not much of that in scottsdale. Go to Apache Junction and you'll find some country bars. Tweakers too.

I've had more compliments on the '16 Inferno than my '06 Silver Streak Mica.... There were at least 15 of the silver ones in town... Still lots of the new silver as well...nice colour, but I needed a change after 10 yrs.

Now I have the only Inferno for 100 kms in any direction... as far as I know.... I have not seen anyone taking pics yet, but a lot of people say "nice colour", or "can I look inside"...!! I show them if I have time...! They leave very envious, I'm sure.
