No one has ever complimented either of my Tacomas, granted neither were 3rd gens. They usually open their car doors into mine, shoot out my passenger head light with a BB gun or push a shopping cart into it. I guess I should upgrade? :D

    No more Turd-gen :)
To be honest I got the most random people asking about my ultra white second gen with black Trd wheels.
I got 1 guy that said he really liked my 3rd gen inferno.
I haven't gotten any comments on my Trd Pro 4 runner :notsure:

I was behind a white Chevrolet 2500 yesterday at a red light and noticed the driver kept looking out of his side view mirror then noticed some guys in his backseat turning around and staring at me. They pulled over to the side after we made it through the stop light and got behind me and proceeded to follow me into the parking lot I was going to. Turned out the truck was loaded down with 5 what appeared to be high school or college kids. They all got out and started walking toward me- at which time my right hand was rested squarely on my Glock. Then they started asking me about my LED bar, fogs and grille. They were very friendly and complimentary. That's the most random thing that's happened, but I've gotten several compliments at various gas stations and other stores.

The more notable instances of people admiring my truck...

I was sitting in the grocery parking lot a guy taps on my window " I just wanted to say, that is the best color Toyota has out with". I replied " yeah umm thanks?" He hops into his late 80's 22RE Pickup and drives away giving me a thumbs up.

Had another lady (again in a parking lot) wave me down while I'm driving out and asks if my truck was painted this way from factory. Said her husband recently got a Tacoma and wished he had gotten my color. "He got an orange one!"

And of course the obligatory teenage girls, not sure if trolling me or being serious... " your truck looks cool, all Army status". Whatever that means.

All of these things are unspeakable. I'd be infuriated. However it does sound like a good excuse to upgrade.

I absolutely LOVE 4Runners, in every generation. The new ones are sexy as HELL. So, I totally dig your 4Runner, my friend! Now, you can't say that. :D

Slightly creepy that they followed you like that, but also kind of awesome they appreciated your mods! You're setting the bar for their future aspirations!

:rofl::rofl: Kids these days... I'll tell you what! They come in all ages. Maybe the youngin's meant that the Quicksand makes it look like more of a military vehicle? That'd be my guess.

I live in the Bay Area, Where dreams come to die. I don't have one complement since adding the 35's. I think it's just too intimidating and people look away. It just looks pissed off all the time.

Plus high schoolers now a days have no interest in cars, they are oblivious for the most part.

The projectors give it that wild lion eye, but then the rest looks like I don't give AF, I take what I want.

Had at least a dozen people comment (positively you animals) on the color over the last couple years, which is quicksand. Another 5-6 have asked me where I got the basket (kb voodoo) including people frantically waving me down while driving.

EDIT: Come to think of it, lots of people told me how great my Dune JKUR looked as well. I think it comes from living in a giant bowl of dust and sand.

Haha nope tacomas don't really drive girls wild. You sure they just weren't taking photos and your truck just happened to be there?

Yep. I'm certain of that. They were doing the "Vanna White" with my Pro Grille and circling the truck to get different angles. Haha

And Tacomas do it for some girls.

Yep, it totally looks pissed off. But, I'm kind of a fan. Silly Bay Area peeps don't know what's good for them! Love that BR, it's really the perfect red.

He probably drove her to drugs being on the internet all the time griping about his truck. He has an obsession doing that and now he uses my name under his avatar saying I have a obsession with him because I take issue with him most of the time. I like that personally shows I have gotten to him. He couldn't take the heat so he put me on ignore and got out of the kitchen.
