I am not a clutch expert, but I've always been under the impression that stock engine -> stock clutch.

I’ve driven manual transmission vehicles for 25+ years. My daily is a manual as is my Tacoma.

Weight does not demand more clutch holding power. Clutch holding power is directly related to engine power.

The amount of force and work you are getting out of your clutch is the same as a stock truck, there is not more torque because you are heavy. When you supercharge or turbocharge, or engine swap then maybe you need more holding power.

If you are slow due to weight, you need gears.

    -replace master when needed
    -replace slave when needed
-do a proper pressure bleed if not already done
-shifter bushing can be periodically replaced and good grease

I can't comment on all the specific parts as I never had FX450, TRD SS, etc.

I wouldn't be asking that. I'd be asking how old is it.
Mine was old. Plastic. I replaced it.

That is easier, prior, and probably should be done anyway, if it hasn't
before looking for something else like a bent pressure plate finger

which, I see you found your clutch had a spring come out.

Sounds odd. Running Stage 2. Weight, wheeling, and 4.88.
Want to crawl? Do it properly with a crawlbox.
100:1 or greater crawl ratio is how to properly wheel manual.

N/A is low power. Puck clutches are for launching 700hp B5 S4 sunday cars.

An anemic engine and gears is equal to a midget with high turnover rate.

Weight does demand more clutch holding power. So does incline. Towing. Big tires. And traction.
When you replace a clutch, you replace a clutch. When you do that, people evaluate their options. Such as URD Torque-U heavyweight flywheel.
Or URD Stage 2 kit with higher clamping force pressure plate.
That also feels better when running a better TOB. A better TOB makes the clutch pedal too easy, without feeling. Until a stronger clutch is added.

I disagree. if the stock clutch slips at high torque then it would be a problem. But the engine outputs torque. If the clutch holds then whatever is downstream does not matter.

If you need to slip the clutch to get
Moving then you need gears. You do reduce highway speed, but everything is a compromise when you modify.

Lots of clutch marketing says the things you say. But if you read the folks that actually build cars it's only ever needed when "the clutch slips during heavy usage"

These engines are not power houses, you don't need a fancy clutch unless you have a lot more power.
