What do you think the other guy would have done if the O.P was at fault ?

3 is a little low, 6 seems really high. I JUST had this almost exact damage replaced, and it was 3200ish. But that is Utah prices, not SOCAL.

Edit: Fenders fucked, mine was just warped. Yeah, 6k seems about right. Time for front bumper and fiberglass!

Nope, but the smart thing to do would be to go get a lawyer.

$3,900 in damage. The TRD skid plate actually saved the radiator from getting destroyed. I’m supposed to get it back next week.

Claim reps handle all the ins and outs of coverage. They may blame the liable party for being difficult but that has nothing to do with it. Insurance company is in 100% control. Its just a cop out to make you feel sorry for them and accept a lower pay out.

Get a quote from a reputable shop to verify their quote if you think its low.

If I were you I’d at least consult a lawyer because of the slipped disc. You want to make sure you get adequate compensation for potential future loss of expenses and time off work if you do happen to have issues moving forward.

Don’t leave it to your insurance company to fight to get you what you are due. They want the issue settled as quickly and cheaply as possible.

Good luck with your back injury and hopefully you get adequate compensation.

I ended up using my insurance for the damage to the truck. I’ll have to pay my deductible, but I’ll get it back when they file against the other driver’s insurance. Dealing with State Farm is so much easier.

I smell a rat there. Your insurance should be footing the bill 100% even if they are unsucessful in claiming against the guilty party.

Just make sure you are OK on injury $$ side. Healthcare is too expensive to wrack up $50k in a surgery bill ten years from now.

    Hope all goes well.

Nah, it was my option to use my insurance and have them go after farmers or wait for farmers to admit fault. I didn’t want to wait.

Just got my taco back. Caliber Collision in Fountain Valley did a great job. They even left off the door badges and didnt drill the front bumper for the license plate, as requested.
