Shouldn't there be a gap between the bumper and lights/body panels to allow the bumper to flex slightly and not break the lights/body panels?

Ok. I always thought the were supposed to be below the lights and fender. I like the look of yours, but was concerned about the flex issue. It looks flush from the pics, and even the crappy stock bumper will flex and break light mounting tabs and other crap. Which is one of the reasons I really want to get rid of it.

yeah have not had it on the trail yet, just got it on last night... so well, i will see how the flex is but it wont put bad pressure under my headlights since it doesnt sit directly under them.

It actually sits out and covers some of the plastic piece under the lights.

1 thing, it pushes up on my fender flares, and since many of the clips on them are broken, the left one pops out a lil, but either im gonna sawsall them a bit or get new clips

Thanks for the info. I have to do something about my passenger side flare. One (more?) of the clips is broken on that too.

those clips are garbage!!! i went to order bushwacker bolt ons, but when on the phone with them, it turns out they are FAKE!!! they use the stock clips and have FAKE bolts on them!

I was beside myself, very dissapointed in bushwacker for wasting any time creating junk.

Yeah, I figure I'll work something out on my own. Small nut/bolt, epoxy, JB Weld.... something. But not until I get a winch bumper. Not worth fixing the crappy plastic until then, IMO.

If you don't mind me asking, what happened in the accident that claimed your first bumper? (Sorry if you already have a thread on it, just give me the link and I will read it) How did your first bumper stand up to the accident? Did your airbags deploy?

yeah its an interesting setup.. but its so that if you damage a piece, you dont need to buy a whole new bumper
