another az trail run...i wanna go this time!

Second Picture: Tonto Forest. We were cruising the New River trail and it started snowing like a bitch.

 

looked it up just now in my book..looks like a fun trail! did it take the recommended 5-6 hrs?

 

Usually 5-6 hours if you just drive.
Picnicking, target shooting, kids panning for gold, etc.... a whole day.
Pretty easy trail and it isn't very crowded.

 

might have to check it out sometime when i got a day off work! thanks man

 

So a quick update, the gf doesn't want to camp so I was thinking going up to sedona Tuesday and doing the oakcreak homestead trail up there, if anyones interested let me know or maybe another choice!

Masada if you got anything going on and see this thread input! If not ill talk to you about it today after work when I come over

 

This Tuesday? Also pre-runner +locker friendly I take it? If it is, I'm down.

 

When I get home tonight ill post info on the oakcreek, it says its 2wd friendly. And ya Tuesday as in 2 days from today ill post more info on the trail later tonight

oak creeks only about an 8 mile trip but theres like a river or something there and idk haha anyone else with any prerunner open diff friendly ideas? i am open to other places!!! new people come on, i know theres new members from az that wanna wheel!

new river canyon??? starts in carefree and goes to table mesa rd on the I-17. 20 miles through new river canyon, 13 of gravel road, 23 miles of pavement...kinda lame haha

 

This looks fun as hell and guys with lockers will be able to do it aswell

 

Mmmm... I think I might be out. It's hard to tell but that video has me a little concerned with the stock trd shocks, no lift, no sliders, no armor on that downfall....

the one with the pictures i posted is guide to arizona backroads & 4-wheel drive trails, but there is an awesome one called backcountry adventures: arizona. it's weird but both books share a lot of similarities but a lot of the trails but the less in depth one has a few trails the other book doesn't.

jake - if you wanted to you can join and maybe ride along with andrew if the trail gets too hard, he might be willing to accommodate

 

the water level shouldn't be that high and that one steeper section i think my open diff can handle.
