What size are those tires? I have a regular cab 2wd and I am wanting to go with 16 or 17 in rims with off road style tires without lifting the truck. Also how much clearance do you have and did you notice a loss in performance or fuel economy from the tire and wheel change?

Readylift with 30x9.50x15 there is a slight power loss however iv e never driven this truck with factory wheels n tires. The town i live in is nothing but hills (you know blue taco) i havent noticed a change in mileage yet

Thanks, did you change rear shocks with the ready lift ? If I were to do a lift that is what I had planned on doing. But my truck is only 1 month old with 550 miles so i don't know if I am wanting to go modding it to the hills just yet. Oh well, I may get 18 in rims and run low profile street tires for now and then once I do a lift change over to some mudders. Sorry for the hijack here blue taco, your truck is looking nice though.

Damn highjackers...haha..I kid, I kid....I'm actually interested in knowing how hard it was to install the lift (required tools, time, etc.). When I do mine, I would imagine it would be by myself unless I can find someone in SRQ (maybe SRQTACO??) to help me out with it. I was also considering switching out all four corners with adjustables too.

Just a little advanced warning when you go shopping for wheels...finding a 15inch wheel that will clear your front calipers is going to be an issue, at least it was for me. I must've spent 2 days on the phone with 4wheelparts.com arguing about whether or not a 15x7 would fit on my truck. My argument was, if the truck came with 15's then a 15 should fit! But, Toyota made the stock wheel on the 5-lugger with a little extra room to clear the caliper..something that is NOT featured on many aftermarket 15inch wheels I found. So, IMO getting a 16 or 17 is defintely a better option for anyone with a 5 lug Tacoma. I went with a 16x7.5 and after putting the tires on there was a considerable amount of power loss, but that because they're f*ing heavy...I haven't really measured the MPG but I would say I'm loosing about 1-2MPG..it's worth the sacrifice to look good I guess. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when I'm lifted with even bigger tires..Just my .02.

Not too bad cept i cheated a little. I used a lift at the repair shop next door for the front. I gave the serv mgr 100 for helpin me and mountin and balancin my tires and lettin me tie up a lift for a couple days . It wouldnt have been any harder on jackstands tho. I had to put it back on the ground to bolt the brake lines back on. It goes just like the readylift video on u tube on the frt. The back centering bolts they give u just taper the ends and smooth em theyll go right in. The botoom shock plates under the axle hafta have the center hole reamed out. I had a big taper bit no big deal. I also had another truck to drive so i had plenty of time. It could be done in a day with 2 people. Watch the video a coupole times

Yes. Sst kit i weighed a stock wheel they weigh 26lbs my new ones weigh 19 my tires weigh 37 . I havent weighed my spare to see what the factory combo weighs. My 18" wheels m tires weighed 52 lb. I bought this truck 6 mos old the 18's were on it already. I used the stock tires on somethin else so i didnt have them to check weight.
