I've been searching, what seems to be endlessly, for answers to questions I have regarding some Bilsteins I picked up a while back. I got a smoking deal on them assembled and I have a 1/4 inch spacer to correct the drivers lean. I can't seem to find the answers I need, so here it goes...

I have a 2006 DCSB Sport 4x4. It's all stock. I want to install Bilstein 5100s set at lowest setting with 885 coils.

    Questions:
    1. How much lift will 5100s at lowest setting w/ 885s give my '06 DCSB 4x4?
    2. If the lift is more than just leveling, how do I make the rear suspension match? What are my options?
    3. With 5100s at lowest setting and 885s will I need UCAs to keep angles correct?
Please keep in mind this is a daily driver, I don't want to upgrade to kings or icons etc. I just want my taco to be level with this set up.
Oh yeah, trolls need not answer.:D Or, did I just ask trolls to answer?:crapstorm:

    Thanks!

They will give you a bout 2.5 inches of lift. Right on the border line of needing new ucas

    I was afraid of that.

I was afraid of this more. I was hoping to avoid spending the extra cash for UCAs, but I want/need my truck to be right.

What are the options for equaling the 2.5 gained in the front for the rear?

Whatever you do to the rear won't matter what you do to the front. If you did 885's they'll give your around 2.5 inches of lift. Depends if you want to bro lean, level, or give your truck the rake back for your options for the rear

You will definitely want UCAs if you're around 2.5 inches.

Wheeler's 3 leaf AAL is nice in the back if you aren't carrying a lot of weight. 1.5-2" lift depending on how you choose to install. $150 or so.

I'm looking to have the truck sit as level as possible.

    Are your leaf packs original?

If so, I wouldn't add an AAL to them. I'd replace them.

General HDs or Wheeler's HDs should get you very close to level with 885s up front.

Yes, you'll want UCAs. I have 884s and I'm just barely okay.

    "Heavy Duty"

They handle more weight and consequently raise the back end over stock.

Keep in mind that price is per leaf pack so you'll need two. You'll also need new u-bolts, around 7" long. U-Bolts will probably run you about $30 for four and you can get them from General, Wheeler's, or have a local shop make them for you.

    Wheeler's These include everything.

New leaf pack. At this point, anything you add to those will be a bandaid

    I did 885 with 5100 and 1 1/2 AAL
Got 2 1/4 In front and almost 2 in back. Alignment in spec.

Other option: Is your truck covered in the leaf spring recall?

If so, wait to get brand new Toyota 4-leaf packs then pull them apart and add an AAL to the pack.

I had an AAL before the Dakars and it rode more harsh than the Dakars. The AAL rode rough and I replaced it after 3k for the Dakars. If you are going AAL at least look into the progressive AAL pack. You will thank me.
