    im already working on getting outta it, plus boobs mcgee dont wanna fly down there, and i dont wanna drive down there for a day then have to drive the uhaul back up here. we'll see!!

    even if i come, i still may not wheel my truck.....still gotta get it right before that. if a magic money fairy visits me in the next week or so..........then i'll have tires for it, if not, it'll be the next meet.:eek:

    yeah, i woulda too to be able to get a new set......no extra $$$ right now though, just for maintenance stuff for the car and truck. cant complain though......gotta good truck to do mod for the long future now!!:D

    what does catfishing gear entail? im not real familiar with catfishing...im used to bass and bream...i do have 2 rods that are prob big enough but past that...im ill prepared

    i'll hook ya up man. #2 hooks, good sinkers and good line,10 to 14 lbs works well, and the rods will probably be ok. plus, if i come, i'll bring some mussels from lake wylie.......damn catfish love them. and you'll be in for some good eatin too!!

    getting there....
    there are some pretty big cats up there, so get a good med to heavy duty rod. i use my ugly stiks, 6 ft, to 7 ft, and occasionally..........my ocean rods. you can bring them in on a smaller rod, but you gotta have good line and finesse it. whatever you do......o not get any of that cajun red junk!!

    i think one of my big rods is actually running spiderwire...the rest could be anywhere between 4 and 20lb and the rods range from xtra small ultralights to 2 big 7 fters

    i've got 30 lbs w/ 6-0 hooks and a 6oz weight on my penn reels w/ 8' beef sticks...lol...a lil over kill, but not for the beach...i'll pop some smaller weight on there and maybe some smaller hooks...dunno...we'll see
