Likes on the right look like TSS warnings. Not sure why they would throw a CEL though.

RIP to Toyota's diehard reliable reputation. They slightly started to fuck it up with the 3rd gen, 4th gen is gonna be the final nail in the coffin..

Sad to see Toyota dealers don't even have the software yet to diag these trucks, how does that even happen?

    That statement isn't an observation...

It's a question. How do you sell a vehicle you can't diagnose?

I so want to call BS on that. Sounds more like they may have not had a tech who has been trained on it. I ran it to this problem when I took my Nissan Titan XD Gas in for an oil change. They said their diesel tech was off that day and I told them so? It is a gas engine, anyone can do it. They refused to touch it since there was not a trained XD tech there even though it was the same engine as the Armadas and regular titans that were already in the bay getting oil changes.

Still pretty embarrassing to not have a tech on site that can diag a truck that has been released into the market. Either way it's not good.

Not always... What issues did the 3rd gen have when they were brand new in 2016?

Plenty of auto makers release new vehicles without issues right of the bat.

Nothing like a good beta test to shake out some issues.

Actually a few. But you didn't join till '20, so you missed the hoopla.

Underfilled transmissions, leaking differentials and out of round brake drums come to mind, along with various wind noises and leaks.

The threads are around, but not really worth digging back up.

Still enjoying my so far mechanically flawless '13.

@JB_TN thanks for taking point on the bleeding edge.

The first 18 months of the third gen was like a large beta test. I think the first 24 months of the fourth gen will be similar.

My 15 has been flawless :burp:

Not one single burp, fart, hiccup, no-start, check engine light or funny noise in over 160k miles
