Hello everyone. I am having issues with both cv axles. I can hear them popping, mostly when turning. Sometimes the boots are squished, sometimes they aren't.
I replaced the needle bearing with ecgs sleeve on drivers side. Also new oil seal. Only replaced the cv axle on passenger side.
I have filmed the play and uploaded on youtube.
Did I just not seat them properly? Any advice or other areas I can check out and verify that they are tight and good would be great. Thanks again for the help .

Looks normal to me. I recently replaced an axle due to a boot that had been blown for about 10K miles. I'd guess there's a good chance that the noise you are hearing is not coming from the axle. Look to your steering shaft.

I did the ECGS sleeve as well and have about the same amount of play as well and the occasional popping sound. Are you saying that you have yours set in too far? What is it supposed to be set at if you don’t mind me asking. I will have to check on mine as it’s been a while. I have a slight groaning coming from that side as well after the install.
