Another departure, Tacoma traded in for a six speed manual/turbo

I can only imagine. I had my heart set on a Focus RS when i was shopping around, but none of the dealerships took me seriously due to my age as it was right when they released and had a dealer markup, so I couldn't even get a test drive.

wait...really? That's a load of crap right there. I once road back from a car show with the Audi dealer in an R8 and he said come by anytime for a test drive....it was magical

 

yeah it was a p big bummer but that's life. i had the same struggle with WRX's all over the county until i went to the dealership by my parents house. Every single place either wouldn't let me test drive, or wouldn't run my credit without a cosigner after test driving.

dealership by my parents house...walked in, guy got me the best deal, said he'd see what he could do about doing solo financing, came back 30 mins later and we started signing papers.

They lose their value and quick. Plus I do not know if they are all that worth it. Better off in a Subbie in my opinion. Dealerships can be turds. I am young too. Sounds stupid but I found wearing dress clothing to the dealership sure makes things go a lot smoother haha. They seem to take you more serious.

definitely agreed. i was able to trade in my Subie for significantly higher than I would ahve been able to trade in a Focus RS with the same year/mileage.

Did i mention the time I got snubbed by BMW? lol. before i bought the subie...vw was broken down and i was ubering everywhere. ubered to the only BMW stealership within 20 miles straight after work to check out their CPO selection (so i was dressed pretty decently, think business casual). didn't get a single person to help me out, a few service techs walked by and said hi, but not one salesman came out or stopped to see why I was there. After 10 mins wandering their used car lot I just sat down at one of their desks without asking to use a phone and call my gf at the time to pick me up. That was the day I vowed not to buy from a BMW dealer.

 

No idea, that would be terrible if they did.

Save the manuals! They may exist, but I don't keep up enough with them to know.

Anyone who thinks i wouldn't drive one to work is wrong. Not a person in their right mine would cut you off, and if they rear ended you, they're done

 

hell, i'd take that puppy on road trips. would really be able to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells along the way
