ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
I am in need of new tires and wanted a little help and will accept a few harsh comments for beating a dead horse yet again. First I have the 5100's up front and in the rear plus new leafs in the back and my current 285-60-18's fit fine and do have ample ground clearance for what I do but I am thinking bigger might be better.
My question would be would you smart folks advise keeping the same size as it works for me or trying one of the following?
    a 275-65-18 = 32.07x10.83
    or 285-65-18 = 32.59x11.22
If I go with a bigger tire will I need to chop the body mount?
    Current size 285-60-18s = 31.46x11.22
found tires on online tires for a pretty fair price for both sizes and spending a few more $$ wont kill me.
Most of the offroading I do is in the desert or some fire roads up in the yosemite area. It is a daily driver and honestly spends 98% of its time on the paved roads. I make it out to anza borego or death valley about once a month and the yosemite area a few times a year. So hopefully this is enough info to give me some feedback.
