Another flashing 4x4 light

I know. I know. Its been asked 1--- times. My 07 Tacoma 4.0 has a flashing 4 wheel symbol. Its the light BELOW the Green light that comes on. My 4wd Engages in 4 HI AND 4 lo But it has a flashing red light below that wont quit flashing. Doesnt matter what the selector mode is in. It DOES engage AND disengage. I just have the light that wont go out. It is very cold here, but its been on for a couple weeks. I brought it in the shop to thaw today but didnt help. Is something not completely disengaging???

 

I see your profile says your truck is a TRD offroad. Perhaps the electronic locker button is on. I can't remember where that indicator was located on my 09 TRD but it will flash red when not engaged and the button is on.

I will definately give that a try in the morning. Come to think of it, Its been flashing since I tried the locker button the other day

 

You never shut it off. Locker only works in 4LO. Put it in 4lo and lock it. Unlock it and switch back to 2wd it should turn off.
