    Yesterday the other half says her Mazda is throwing low oil pressure codes. Well shit, back on the stands it goes. The cause? The new filter had a tiny dent that I didn't notice, and the Skyactiv turbos are notoriously hypersensitive to filter flow. 17 bucks for a new filter, and the codes are cleared. :annoyed:




    If I ran a shop, most of you would be demanding refunds.

    do you have a 2.5T in your mazda? make sure to add like an extra half quart on top of what is recommended to help offset the engine burning oil between changes

    Yeah, I just saw those discussions when googling last night. I don't think its burning oil yet (the pre-change reading still seems to be in range), but I will be watching the dipstick like a hawk from now on.
