    I've been slowly researching lifts since I got my truck last year. After reading this thread it seems that this is the best option for someone using the truck as a daily driver but also wants to do a little off-roading ( even if that's forest service roads etc).

    For anyone with this lift clarify that this is true and that the on road ride is improved?

    5100's set at 0, Ome 885's, and a AAL for 2.5"-3" lift and no rake. This will not require a diff drop or brake lines?

    Well if I go for UCA's I would imagine I may as well lift to 3". I've read enough that new brake lines, etc. aren't needed then.

    Funny story- our local shop known for off-road work, etc. says 5100's are incompatible with a '15 Taco..... :rolleyes::anonymous:

    only problem with going through FJ to Taco's way is its 1100 dollars. Unless i added somethings i didn't. buying everything separately is a much cheaper option. Again, i might have chosen the extra UCA assembly and Strut assembly when i don't need it.

    You must've added something you didn't need. The price will be similar, but a little bit cheaper getting everything separate (maybe like $30).

    You probably added the UCA's. It's not necessarily needed with 2.5 lift as some of these guys in this thread doesn't have them. dont add the UCA's and it should be around 740.00.

    thanks guys! i ended up not putting the UCA's and and the struts and it did end around 700 which is great! are the UCA's and strut assembly important or they are just fluff?

    UCA's are not needed if you're going for a 2.5 lift or less BUT, there has been some taco owners that needed it due to alignment issues. Again, the guys on this thread, no UCA's and they're good to go.

    As for the strut assembly, absolutely not needed. They have it as an option to make it easier on the buyer or who ever is going to install the shocks+coils. That way it will be a straight swap with out needing to use of spring compressors to assemble the new shocks+coils. Basically if you opted to have the strut assembly, you take the old struts+coils and slap on the new ones (easy peasy).
