So based on some research, I had basically decided to go with a Lanolin based undercoat option. Not really in the rust belt, but Utah does salt their roads.

So I was just about to pull the trigger on either Fluid Film or WoolWax, but then I found this video: https://youtu.be/NE1_EiZIVHs

So I figured, why not? I could swing down to the Home Despot and do it right now.

Well, it doesn't stink too badly, but it was harder to get into the backside of the frame, so another product with better applicators would probably work better.

Mostly, availability made this appealing, as well as better penetration with good longevity. So, we'll see, I guess.

Nice to have another option. I was tempted to try this last year since my local Menards has it and it's 4 bucks a can vs 9 for Fluid Film. Ended up using FF though.

I do like Blaster products and they sell this new in 1 gallon buckets. May try it this year.

Great actually. I think the heat made it kinda melt and ooze into more nooks and cranny. There's still a lot of coverage. I put on a new leaf pack so I applied it over those, and I'll probably just do a touch-up or respray anytime I'm under the truck. It does get blown off the leading edges of the LCA's and stuff, but thats to be expected.

+1 For lanolin based 'shields'. I've used Fluid Film for many years. You can even get a gallon jug and shoot it with a spray gun.
