    Unfortunately Magnuson supercharger will probably void the warranty of a new truck.
    If it was TRD like the old supercharger you were covered for the full warranty of the truck,
    So I’m sure this will be a harder selling point and probably will cost more like 6-7000 installed I bet.

    The old TRD supercharger were built like a tank, I have 560,000 miles on mine,
    Bought it new in 1998

    Yup but toyota doesn’t work with Magnuson to cover any warranty issues on a new truck I believe, I guess time will tell if they make one for sale and if it will void the truck warranty if installed

    I could see that being a problem but you could always run the regular gas and do your best to keep it out if boost, I had to do that once when I filled up with 'premium' at a really remote station that turned out to be crap gas (was probably 10 years old). Wasn't hard but I could prevent pinging by driving like an old lady and staying out of boost.

    Or you could dump a dozen octane boosters into a tank of regular, which might increase it by one octane point if you're lucky (those things are largely a scam but a few of them will work in large quantities).

    Or always keep a few jerry cans full of premium in the truck bed

    Or just don't get a supercharger, probably the safest option lol. Honestly I've been to some pretty remote desert locations in CA and there's always a premium option, though the quality of it can be questionable

    Magnuson offers a 36,000mile warranty to cover that. and 70,000 if you want to buy it.
