    • with a fully charged, brand new Group 24F battery
    • after closing the hood
    • with the multimeter hooked up in serial on the negative battery cable and post
    • letting everything sit--hooked up--for a couple hours to allow all modules to go to sleep
bounces around between 5ma and 10mA.

Disconnect the negitive side. Take a 12v testlight connect it between the battery and the negative cable. Start pulling fuses and relays one at a time when it goes out that is where the short or problem is.

Maybe an aftermarket stereo or something.

Yep, you have some sort of parasitic drain going on.

Between 5 and 10? From everything I have read that seems seriously low. I would expect ~30-40. Mine is 70ma with aftermarket stereo and 54ma with that fuse removed. Can anyone else test with this warmer weather so we can get a couple samples here? Truly appreciate it.

I do have another data point. 2004 BMW 3 series (if you know BMW 3 series is low end = low electronics) and it's sitting at 35ma with a Viper remote start. I'd still love to hear from a few other late model taco owners. Thanks
