I noticed that on yours and it looks sweet! If I go with the Pro grille I may consider another set of wheels. Even though the stock tires are nice and quiet I want a size bigger and more tread. Even if I don't need it it just looks better. I am also considering the TRD beadlock wheels in either black or gold but again need to figure out the topper color. The main thing with the topper is that it has to be easy to take off and I don't want to have to drill. Way too OCD for that!

You can just get wheel spacers instead of new wheels. $200 instead of $800. That's what I did. None of the soft top covers require drilling so you'll be fine.

I knew what you meant! No harm no foul. :). Yeah, a lot of folks drop a lot of cash on these trucks in a hurry. The biggest thing I noticed from the second gen to the third (besides changes/refinements, etc.) was the price! These trucks are far from cheap but we are all on here for a reason - great trucks and great fun with them.

Again, thank you and I appreciate the save advice. It will likely keep me out of a lot of trouble with the Mrs!

Yep, my mods went from tires to maybe a softopper to who the heck knows! Dang, I'm screwed, I might as well cash in the 401K now... Ha! Maybe I should have listened to Uplifted and immediately deleted my account.

Waiting on Softopper to get back with me to see if they have any pics of the tan with Quicksand. I emailed them two weeks ago and have yet to hear back from them. Hopefully this is not an indicator of their service... So far there is very little out there...

Their customer service seems to be sub par, which is unfortunate. But their product is quality.

For the tires, I think you can also get Toyo Open County ATIIs in load range c in 265/75/16.

I did not know that and will check them out. I wish we had more c load range choices. I would almost start a thread on c rated tires but we have so many tire threads so I'm not sure how well it would go over. I like the hybrid tires that are out but it's hard to find the in a c.

I wish we had more load range c tires too. I think there is a thread on it, but I couldn't find it after a short search. It might be a discussion within another thread on a different tire topic, but I can't remember for sure. It seems like there was one or two other options for load c tires.

I want to get new tires in 265/75/16 in load c also, and I think it is going to come down to DuraTracs or Open Country ATIIs. I am leaning towards the DuraTracs, except that the Open Countries may be lighter which would give better gas mileage.

We are in the same boat! Heck, I think when things slow down a bit tonight I'm going to start a thread on it because I can't find anything really on point, either. The Toyo also comes in a P which would work for me because I just deal with mud and clay. You can also get it in an extreme with more tread but I am leaning Duratrac too. The bigggest concern is that some folks talk about the noise on them as they wear but I wonder if that is for the E rated tires? If so, they all get loud as they wear.

I cant remember which site exactly but on softtopper or supertoppers website they have a simulator where you can put in your truck color and try out the different topper colors. Check it out, helped me decide on which color i wanted.

It is Softopper but they don't give you the Quicksand color option. Tried that but appreciate the help. I will try Bestop too. I'm not too familiar with them but a lot of folks like them.
