I'm getting similar mileage, but not as good as my Cummins diesel...

Yea, I like the sport seats they have which aren't available on the SR5's and some other amenities.

Yeah, at the same mph, I was averaging about 20mpg with my Duramax, but the cost of fuel is higher, so I am saving there too. However, the power in the Tacoma is not even(nor will it ever be) close to that of my DMax, which I miss. You can't have it all, but the Tacoma is a good way to suffice.

Yes, I do like the seats. I can't wait to replace the stereo though, which I planned on doing anyways and is why I didnt want the JBL stereo. I was spoiled with the BOSE system in my Chevy...

All in all, Im glad that you chose a Tacoma when your options were actually many since you had a domestic to begin with. There's a stronger sense of pride when I hear stories like that. :D Welcome to TacomaWorld.

Werd. But having a BOSE system in my current pos ride, I can say there's a 50/50 shot of having a good BOSE system. Mine has a "subwoofer" stock and by sub Mazda thinks a 3 inch piece of cardboard in a flat enclosing counts...it does nothing for bass btw.
Then Chevy has a good BOSE system, hella bass and good quality. AND a real subwoofer!!!
I've got quality speakers but they lack in everything with all settings maxed out unless it's up to like 24-32/62 "clicks" of volume. Oh well, win some lose some...that's why they make aftermarket speakers. :D

Diesel is actually less than gas right now where I live... Wouldn't ya know it... As soon as I get rid of my diesel, the price drops below gas... I too miss the power, but the quality, fit, and finish of the Tacoma is far superior to that of the Dodge I traded...

I bought a loaded TRD Offroad, and I love everything about it... Even the JBL system...

Yeah no boubt on the BOSE. They can make some real bunk products and I normally don't support them (due to price for product quality), but man that stereo in my crew cab Chevy sounded good. My friend had the same system in his ext cab Chevy and it didn't sound nearly as good....goes to show their inconsistancies.

I figured, I too would help the Diesel world by trading in my truck and making costs go down. When I bought my truck, Diesel was $2.19 and a year later...it was $5.50! I guess a sign that I shouldn't have one.

I'm glad you enjoy your truck! I too have a good first impression with mine, hope it lasts. I can't wait to see how it holds up to some mods...ie. 3" and some 33's, among other things.
