Threads are dumb when they generate one response. "Go Search!"

This topic is always good for dragging out the peeps with too much to drink to start a debate. Hell, I wish TW had audio sometimes. (Well placed burp right there)

I forget, it was recently, maybe a couple days ago. Thread started out someone posted a "cool mod" of a badge that said Taco and it morphed into flame fest.

Sorry for lashing out myself in this thread, doesn't help anything

OP, we were all new here and I think some people forget it. But to answer you're question, the TRD OR Prerunner would have Toyota Bilstein Off Road shocks, the rear locker, slightly different appearance package, 16" wheels with A/T tires. I have a locked Prerunner, and with some decent tires and knowing how to drive, I can get pretty far. But nothing replaces 4wd. In some places I find I do fine while others can't get out without 4wd, but In most instances 4wd is king

Got it, making more sense. This forum is awesome for learning. My previous truck was a 1993 stock p/u Toyota 4-banger, so this is all new to me.

    Thanks

Pre runners can still get into some good trails. There are plenty of guys with pre runners and a winch for piece of mind. I go wheelin with a 2x4 t4r guy and he holds his own. Get a winch if you have any doubts. Have fun with your truck.

Sorry for getting uptight, I read it as "what are you stupid?" so I defended myself.

as for WHY I would rather have the prerunner, the biggest obviously is because I dont (didn't) have plans to do rock crawling.

even though 4x4 can do what the prerunner does, there's three reasons why the prerunner is better in my case:
    1) MPG is 1-2mpg better due to weight
    2) maintenance, although not hard, it does require more maintenance.
    3) cost, they are selling for 3-5k more than a prerunner.

as for the "SEARCH" Nazi's....you do realize this would be a VERY BORING site if everybody just searched and NEVER asked a question.
